Schwarz Produktion to Acquire Pasta Manufacturer Erfurter Teigwaren

Schwarz Produktion will purchase the pasta maker Erfurter Teigwaren GmbH in Thuringia. The completion of the transaction is subject to approval by the Federal Cartel Office and is scheduled for October 2022. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

In business since 1793, Erfurter Teigwaren GmbH is one of the most traditional pasta makers in Germany, employing around 170 people and producing approx. 100,000 tons of pasta products each year.

The goal of the acquisition is to reliably supply the retail companies of Schwarz Group with high-quality pasta products from our own production. With acquisition of the plant, Schwarz Produktion is strengthening its base and will retain the existing, long-standing management team and contribute its expertise to the company’s further development.
