CHOCOLATE AND MORE
Solent is the company for tasty chocolates and healthy snacks. We have been producing a large selection of chocolate for the Lidl brand Fin Carré for nearly ten years now, and are today one of the most successful chocolate producers on the market. We use hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts, cashews, raisins and other ingredients to produce the popular dried fruit and nut mixes of the Lidl brand Alesto.
We process tens of thousands of tonnes of chocolate and dried fruits every year, and deliver our products to well over 20 countries. Solent employs around 350 food experts who are fully up to speed with our high quality standards. We continuously ensure these quality levels through strict specifications and controls on the raw products. We only work with selected suppliers and closely monitor the products using state-of-the-art analysis technology. We also arrange for our products to be tested by independent, accredited institutions on a regular basis.

Chocolate and nuts are good for the soul
We produce a wide range of different chocolates. Our Alpine milk chocolate is particularly popular. However, our assortment goes beyond chocolate. We have been packing nuts and dried fruits from the very start. In recent years, we have added other delicious lines such as banana and coconut chips, raisins, cranberries and papaya cubes.

Handling people and resources responsibly is a high priority at Solent. We keep a close eye on the ingredients for our chocolates with that in mind. All the chocolate bars we produce carry the Fairtrade or UTZ seal. That means all the chocolate ingredients we use in our products are produced under fair conditions.
