ENERGY-EFFICIENT PRODUCTION

Each of our production sites has a certified energy management system (ISO 50001) or a legally comparable environmental management system (EMAS). Within this framework, we implement a wide range of energy efficiency measures each year.

By implementing various individual measures, we were able to increase our energy efficiency by a total of

OVER 400 MEASURES IMPLEMENTED

Since 2018, our local energy teams in production have implemented more than 400 measures to increase energy efficiency. These include, among other things, compressed air optimization, efficiency optimization, reduction of idle times, and heat recovery.

SAVING ENERGY IN MAXAU

Through targeted optimization of Paper Machine 6 and extensive insulation of piping, the Maxau paper mill managed to save more than 2 million kWh (over 7 terajoules) of energy in the 2025 financial year.
