We deliver high quality and safety in our products. To do so, for instance, we regularly review and improve our recipes and product range. By reducing sugar and salt in our products, we support consumers in making healthy choices. We also choose to use certified, sustainable raw materials in our production.

We always aim for satisfied consumers. For us, this also includes a belief that conscious nutrition and enjoyment go hand in hand. Therefore we have set ourselves ambitious targets for reducing the sugar and salt content of our products, and have already made some great progress.

LESS SUGAR

Just like smell and texture, taste is a habit that can be learned. Many years ago, we began to introduce consumers to a less sweet taste in our beverages. Since 2015, we have been working on gradually reducing the sugar content per litre in our drinks by continuously adapting our recipes.

Our assortment also includes a wide variety of reduced-sugar and sugar-free beverages. New alternatives are being added every year to complement our range of classic soft drinks.

In recent years, we have managed to reduce the amount of salt used in our breads and rolls in particular. We continuously review and optimise our recipes. Today, for example, our crusty bread contains 40 percent less salt than in 2015. We reduced the salt content in our wheat rolls by more than 30 percent.

We have managed to reduce the content of both sugar and salt in our beverages and baked goods by around 30 percent. However, we want to do much more. Every day, we are investing in the health, safety and satisfaction of our consumers and working on an even wider range of products for ensuring a balanced diet.
