As a food producer, we fulfil an important function for our society. Appreciation and trust form the basis for our actions. With that in mind, we are committed to handling food responsibly and respecting human rights all along the value chains of our products.

AVOIDING FOOD WASTE

Handling food responsibly and reducing waste are particularly important for us. Our commitment to sustainability focuses on using food and the ingredients in them sensibly rather than wasting them. There are some good reasons for this: On the one hand, it results in less environmental pollution because food that ends up in the rubbish also consumes resources such as energy and water. On the other hand, food is scarce in many places and therefore should not be carelessly thrown in the bin.

PRISTINE PRODUCTS

Through targeted measures, we have succeeded in reducing the waste of beverages by approximately 26 percent and the waste of solid foods by approximately 43 %. This is made possible by, among other things, the optimisation of our transport processes and the retrofitting of equipment.

We respect and value human rights. We also expect our business partners to respect these fundamental rights. With that in mind, we have committed to a joint declaration of principles on the issue of human rights within the Schwarz Group and we welcome the National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights by the German Government.
