FINE BAKED GOODS

In our large-scale bakeries we combine traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art production lines. Every day, we bake breads, rolls, doughnuts, croissants, apple turnovers and more.

WE GET IT BAKED

Since starting out in 2012, we have developed successfully. Today, we operate two large scale bakeries where production is running at full speed. As well as thousands of loaves and rolls, we produce millions of doughnuts, croissants and apple turnovers for Lidl and Kaufland.

We employ around 1000 specialists at our Bonback sites in Übach-Palenberg and Halle (Saale) , who combine traditional baking craftsmanship with the state-of-the-art technology of our production lines. In addition to the expertise of our employees, we rely on selected and purely natural ingredients as well as sufficient resting time for our doughs. This is what makes us successfull. We started off with breads and rolls and have now become experts in a whole range of baked goods. We supply our products to over 30 countries worldwide.

A number of Bonback Übach-Palenberg’s products were once again awarded with the German Agricultural Society (DLG) Gold Award in 2024. And to make us even better, we have our own product development team to improve existing formulations and invent completely new ones. We work closely with our carefully selected raw material suppliers.

Our sites

BONBACK IN ÜBACH-PALENBERG, GERMANY

We work with state-of-the-art production equipment at our site in Übach-Palenberg. From preparing the dough, processing and production to packaging, all our plants are controlled with the help of IT systems, ensuring we always deliver consistently high quality. Once they leave production, our products are flash-frozen at around -40°C and then stored at -21°C until they are ready to be delivered.

BONBACK IN HALLE (SAALE), GERMANY

Bonback in Halle (Saale), is our second large-scale bakery. The site has been part of Schwarz Produktion since 2024. Around 150 dedicated employees work at this state-of-the-art plant. They produce a variety of baked goods from 100 percent natural raw materials without additives or artifical enzymes. The focus is on rustic stone oven products and original baked goods – i.e. a long dough process and the use of starter- and sourdoughs.

SUSTAINABLE BAKING

We make sure that raw materials and energy are used efficiently in production at our plants. And we take responsibility for our consumers, because promoting healthy nutrition is important to us. We are therefore continuously reducing the salt content in all bakery products.
